Mistakes are a perfect way to understand such things and to unlearn them. In reality, while making some of the dumb mistakes, you get to learn the best of life lessons. It means that there is a right way to do that thing when you make a mistake. That's when you ask questions, seek other people's advice, and educate yourself. The whole process makes you educated and a good learner the two things that will carry you far in life.
