A tough cookie I’ve known

A tough cookie I’ve known is my mom. My mom is one of the strongest idols I’ve ever seen in my life. She tought me how to be strong even when I’m broken. My mom always eases a difficult situation with her strength of being calm and wise. I always look up to her.

A Tough Cookie I Have Known

My colleague, Jody, I would say is a tough cookie. Her daring, strength and stamina amaze me. She is capable of going for long ‘tramps’ in the ‘bush’ both here in New Zealand and abroad in places such as the French and Swiss Alps. She tends to take the minimum with her, you could say she ‘travels light,’ but all the same she knows to include the essentials that she needs to stay warm, dry and fed. She has good map reading skills, so she doesn’t need to confine herself to well-established walking tracks, she can negotiate routes and even untracked wilderness, resorting at times to ‘bush bashing’ her way to her chosen destination. I am in awe of her, and I would always bow to her advice on matters to do with ‘tramping’ and surviving & thriving in the ‘great outdoors.’ Kudos to you Jody!

A chatterbox classmate

When I was in high school, there was a chatterbox classmate in my class. She was talking about everything in most of the times. So, she wasn’t shy to tell others her comments. Also, she always likes joking about every simple thing, even while teacher was talking. Moreover, she was complaining about studying, her life, school and many things more. However, she is trying to get rid of this bad behavior. Therefore, sometimes she makes a competition with us to don’t speak any not useful thing. On the other hand, she was a good student. I mean that the worst behavior she has is chatterbox. But, she is kind with others, she has leadership abilities and many others.

My sister’s daughter

My sister’s daughter, Al-zahraa. She is 6 years old. She is kind, smart and joyful. Also, she is a very gregarious and social child. She always speaks comfortably with everyone. What’s more, she is a helpful child. She likes to help her mother in making food, cleaning the home and washing the dishes. Moreover, she is an independent child. She does her homework by herself without any help. Furthermore, she is very polite with everyone. Also, she likes to share her dolls with other children. On the other hand, she is passionate about fashion and modern things. She always like to choose her clothes and her hair accessories.

My best friend Wafa

My best friend Wafa is a very kind and ambitious person. At the same time, she is introverted and quite impetuous. She is my only trusted friend. She always tries to help weak people in their weaknesses, like poor people and those who have a physical disability. Wafa has big dreams related to her major. She wants to build a children’s hospital. On the other hand, she is solitary and she likes to work in quiet places where she can concentrate alone. Wafa also usually decides things without thinking of the consequences. Then she regrets that.

My Older Sister

My older sister, Valerie, is kind, compassionate and easy going, and definitely not over-ambitious. She is always happy to open her home to those less highly regarded and less well off than herself, such as folks dealing with intellectual handicaps, mental illnesses or dysfunctional family situations. She is also happy to listen to me when I have problems and offer sound advice. On the other hand, she is flexible about schedules and arrangements and even though she has achieved a lot in her career, she doesn’t make advancing in it the most important thing in her life. The most important thing to her is serving God through caring for others.
