 The Future: My prediction

What will the world be like in 50 years, in 100 years? It is a certainty in life that things change, even if they seem to be stagnant at the moment.

This week we have read about and discussed predictions of what might happen to the world and its people in the future, and we have established that language, for instance, is undergoing constant flux. We as people change too, with every new experience, every day. Change is the only certainty we have.

I am 60 years old and can look back on many changes in my life, for example I am the last generation to have grown up without electronic hand-held devices in my childhood. The world will change beyond what we can imagine now, as new technology and inventions come to us. My hope is that people never lose the contact to nature and the natural world with all its wonders, as it provides an important balance to advancement in other areas of our lives. What do you think?
